New Tax Regime

  • No tax payable up to ₹12,00,000 of taxable income due to the Section 87A rebate, with a maximum rebate of ₹60,000.
  • Standard deduction of ₹75,000 is available to salaried individuals and pensioners under the new tax regime.
  • The same slab structure applies across age groups under the new tax regime.
  • The New Tax Regime is the default regime. Eligible taxpayers can opt for the Old Tax Regime, subject to applicable conditions.
  • Health and Education Cess of 4% is applicable on the income tax and surcharge, wherever applicable.
  • The maximum surcharge rate under the new regime is generally 25%, subject to applicable provisions.
